As the coronavirus continues to create uncertainty in sharemarkets and economies across the globe, we held the second of our fortnightly “Virus Crisis” webinar series, to provide a timely update on the virus and how it’s affecting markets and the macro economy.

BetaShares Chief Economist, David Bassanese, and Director of Adviser Business, Blair Modica, provided an update on the current coronavirus situation and offered investment ideas for three market recovery scenarios based on David’s economic outlook.

David drew comparisons with previous serious influenza events in history to help evaluate the current state of the outbreak and infection rate, and analyse how close we may be to hitting the peak.
