BetaShares and Legg Mason launch Australia’s first Fixed Income Active ETF – ASX: BNDS

We’re pleased to announce the launch of our third active ETF with Legg Mason, and Australia’s first Fixed Income Active ETF – the BetaShares Legg Mason Australian Bond Fund (managed fund)  available on the ASX under the code “BNDS”.

BNDS – managed by multi award-winning Legg Mason affiliate, Western Asset – aims to provide efficient access to an actively managed and broadly diversified portfolio of high quality Australian fixed income securities.

How to use BNDS in a portfolio:

BNDS can be used to implement a variety of investment strategies. For example:

  • A core component of a fixed income allocation providing attractive income, relatively high levels of capital stability and diversification benefits to
    portfolios
  • A complement to a core cash/ term deposit allocation providing a regular income stream without the need to lock up capital
