We've added three new reports that you can generate whenever you need them. They're designed to help you, your accountant or your tax agent understand your investments.
What's New
Income Report
See all the income your investments paid over a date range you choose. For each distribution or dividend you receive, the report shows you the tax withheld, franked and unfranked amounts, foreign income and credits.
Tax Components Report
A line-by-line breakdown of your annual tax statement. Each row covers a single distribution and shows which parts of your tax return it affects, including Australian income, capital gains, foreign income and credits, and cost base adjustments.
You can generate this report for any financial year from FY2025–26 onwards, where a tax statement is available.
Unrealised Capital Gains Tax (CGT) Report
See the potential capital gains or losses for the investments you hold on a date you choose. The report covers every parcel you hold and shows:
What each parcel cost and what it's worth
How long you've held it, and whether it may be eligible for the CGT discount
An estimate of your net capital gain if you sold everything on that date
The date defaults to the day you generate the report, however you can also choose a past date. This report may help you plan, for example, when considering whether to rebalance or sell investments before the end of the financial year.
How to generate a report
Go to Statements in the Betashares Direct website
Select the report you'd like, then choose a date range, financial year or date.
Select Generate. Your report will appear in your statements list.
Download it as a PDF, CSV or Excel file.
Reports you generate on the web will also be available to view in the Betashares Direct app.
Did you know?
A parcel generally needs to be held for more than 12 months to be eligible for the CGT discount. The Unrealised CGT Report shows the holding period for each parcel, so you can see which ones may qualify.
This information is general information only and is not tax advice. The Unrealised CGT Report is an estimate only. It doesn't include gains or losses you've already realised in the financial year, or capital losses carried forward from earlier years. Please consider consulting a registered tax agent or financial adviser for advice specific to your circumstances.
