ETF industry grows by 5.7% in May to $273.7B following strong flows

  • Very strong inflows, combined with positive market performance, pushed the Australian ETF industry to a new record high of $273.7B in funds under management – a rise of $14.7B or 5.7%.

  • Industry inflows for the month were a strong $3.38B – the eighth consecutive month of flows above the $3B mark.

  • ASX trading value hit ~$15B in May – an elevated level but less than the record set last month.

  • Over the last 12 months the Australian ETF industry has grown by 38%, or $75.39B.

  • 8 new funds launched in May, including three within Betashares’ Defined Income range.

  • Crypto related exposures, including the QETH Ethereum ETF , were the top performing funds in May.

  • Fixed Income ETFs received the highest level of flows with $1B, while International Equities ($929M) took second, followed by Australian Equities ($752M) in third.

    I am about to sell a proprty on which we rely for our monthly retirement income in our SMSF. I am receiving 8% on the capitalized value of the property and I would like to emulate this return, both in return and frequency of payments either monthly or quarterly. Any suggestions?
